The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Drone Federation of India (DFI) to strengthen the counter-drone capabilities of its personnel deployed at critical installations across the country.
The agreement is aimed at improving security preparedness against potential aerial threats, particularly at sensitive facilities in sectors such as aviation, nuclear power and space.
Focus on Drone Security and Training
According to a CISF statement issued on Friday, the partnership with DFI will support structured engagement with Indian drone startups and technology companies.
The initiative is expected to contribute to capacity building, applied research and operational preparedness, allowing security personnel to develop a better understanding of evolving drone technologies and potential security challenges.
The CISF currently provides security to around 370 units across India, including installations in highly sensitive sectors such as aviation, nuclear power, space and oil refining.
